The Department of Education will open the school year 2011-2012, with the universal kindergarten already a Pre-requisite in the new elementary program.  In addition, education officials have informed the public that the six-year high school is due for implementation this coming June 2012.  The revised high school program will include four years of junior high school and two years of senior high school, thus students will complete their term on 2018.

During the transition period, summer classes were conducted on at least a million pupils prior to their enrollment as Grade 1 pupils, to enable them to adapt as they move to Grade 1.  Furthermore, studies indicate that the rate of dropout for pupils is much lesser for pupils who attended kindergarten, than those who did not attend kindergarten.
